Mug

This Mug was one of the funnest projects! We had to create a mug that had a design that was out of the ordinary. To make the shape I wraped a clay slab around a cup then took the cup out. i then put the eyes and mouth on. For the handles i formed them into ear shapes and connected them to the mug. I used low firing glazes for this pot. I like the low firing glazes alot better because the colors are acurate and its easier to paint on. I am verry happy with the way my Mug turned out.

Box

This box was pretty hard to make. We had to cut out 5 inch square slabs to connect and create a box. We had to make sure to slip and score every side of the box. I glazed the box with high firing glaze. however mine didnt turnout to be the right color.

Pinch pot

Making this pot was fun and easy! we took clay and pinched it into the shape of a pot. I hadnt worked with clay until this project. We had to make feet so it had something to stand on. During the making of this pot i learned alot about glazing, painting and firing. I used the high firing glaze for this pot. High firing glazes arent as bright but give the artwork a nice color.

Wire sculpture- Dinosour

This project was the first project we did. We used wire and paper machet. It was very fun and interesting. It wasnt easy bending and shaping the wire, however it turned out good. I made a dinosour because i thought the project would work well with a dinosour.I feel this project was a good way to start of the year.
